Key Points
- EZiL supports two job models: EZiL Managed (EZiL delivers) and Marketplace (Builder delivers).
- Builders must be KYC-verified before accepting or creating jobs.
- Self-payment and self-approval are strictly prohibited.
- Payments are held until the client approves delivery or the review window expires.
1. Roles on the Platform
There are two primary roles on EZiL Universe:
- Creator: Registers on EZiL to create digital projects such as websites or applications. Creators can purchase EZiL services using the EZiL Wallet, create jobs, invite builders and manage project delivery.
- Builder: Professional service provider who delivers projects for creators. Builders are verified through KYC and bank/UPI verification, and can offer services through EZiL Managed Jobs or create their own client jobs via Marketplace.
2. EZiL Managed Jobs
Creators can create jobs for complex projects that require expert assistance:
- Job Details: Define requirements, timeline, budget and deliverables.
- Builder Matching: EZiL curates and recommends verified Builders. Creators can review profiles and select a Builder.
- Payment: Clients pay EZiL via the platform. Funds are held in escrow or settlement accounts until the job is completed.
- Delivery & Approval: The Builder submits deliverables. The Creator reviews and marks the job as complete or requests revisions. After approval, the Builder is paid.
3. Marketplace Jobs (Builder-Created)
Builders can create their own client jobs using EZiL’s payment infrastructure. This workflow is suitable for Builders who bring their own clients.
- Builder creates a new job with project details and pricing.
- EZiL generates a payment link tied to the specific job and vendor.
- The Builder shares the payment link with their client. When the client pays, they become the job owner.
- The job is tracked in the platform. The client reviews the work and marks it complete.
- EZiL’s payment partner splits the payment: EZiL’s fee plus Builder earnings. Payout to the Builder is processed after client approval or review window expiry.
Important safeguards: Payment links always include job and vendor identifiers to satisfy RBI marketplace restrictions. Identity verification and KYC are required for Builders before accepting payments.
4. Bidding and Selection Process
For EZiL Managed Jobs, the bidding process works as follows:
- Creators post a job with detailed requirements, budget range and timeline.
- Verified Builders can submit bids with proposed pricing, timeline and approach.
- Creators review Builder profiles, portfolios and bid details before selecting a Builder.
- Once a bid is accepted, the project moves to the active phase and funds are secured via the platform.
5. Preventing Fraud and Self-Dealing
EZiL monitors transactions for unusual patterns. Builders and Creators must not create fake client accounts or attempt to pay their own jobs. Self-dealing leads to account suspension and forfeiture of earnings. Payouts are only released after the client approves the delivery or after the review window closes.
Zero tolerance: Self-payment or self-approval is prohibited. Builders cannot pay their own jobs or approve them on behalf of clients.
6. Settlement and Payouts
Builder earnings are recorded as pending settlement until the client approves the job or the review window expires. Payouts are made to the Builder’s verified bank/UPI after deducting applicable fees, taxes and charges. Payouts are not made from client wallets; they are disbursed from EZiL’s bank account.
7. Dispute Resolution
If a conflict arises:
- Use the platform’s messaging tools to resolve issues.
- For EZiL Managed Jobs: EZiL will mediate and may issue refunds or assign another Builder.
- For Marketplace Jobs: The Builder and client should try to resolve the issue. If no agreement is reached, EZiL may withhold payout and refund the client based on the evidence provided.
- Raise formal disputes through support within the review window. Disputes submitted after settlement may not be eligible for refunds.
8. EZiL Wallet and Credits
Creators can fund their EZiL Wallet using authorised payment methods. Wallet balance is used to purchase EZiL Builder credits, subscriptions, AI tools and other platform services. Wallet balance cannot be withdrawn or transferred; it is a closed-loop, non-cash service balance. Promotional credits may be provided for trial use and have no cash value.
9. Compliance and Security
EZiL Universe complies with RBI’s payment aggregator directions, which require refunds to be processed back to the original payment method, time-bound dispute resolution and segregation of client funds. Personal data is processed according to our Privacy Policy and in compliance with India’s DPDP Act. Security measures include encryption, access controls and annual audits.
