Key Points
- Payments are processed through RBI-compliant authorised payment aggregators.
- EZiL Wallet is a closed-loop, non-withdrawable service credit.
- Refunds go back to the original payment method per RBI guidelines.
- Builder payouts occur only after client approval or review-window expiry.
1. Payment Methods
We accept payments through authorised payment aggregators and banking partners compliant with Reserve Bank of India (RBI) guidelines. Payments may be made via credit/debit cards, UPI, net banking or other methods offered by our payment partners.
2. EZiL Wallet Top-ups
Creators may add funds to their EZiL Wallet to purchase EZiL services. Top-ups are processed via payment partners. Wallet balances are a closed-loop, non-transferable service credit usable only for eligible EZiL services and cannot be withdrawn.
Promotional credits granted by EZiL have no cash value, are non-transferable and may expire as specified.
3. Fees and Charges
Fees may include: platform fees for EZiL Managed Services, Builder usage fees, subscription fees for tools, taxes, and payment gateway charges. Fees are disclosed before you confirm a purchase or project.
4. Payment Flows
We operate distinct payment flows:
- EZiL Managed Services: Client payments are collected by EZiL. EZiL pays verified Builders as subcontractors after delivery approval.
- Marketplace Jobs: Client payments are processed via Cashfree Easy Split (or equivalent) and split between EZiL and the Builder according to pre-defined rules. The payment link is linked to a specific job and vendor to ensure compliance with RBI guidelines.
- Wallet Top-ups: Funds added to the EZiL Wallet.
- Promotional Credits: Free credits that may be used only for specified services.
5. Settlement and Payouts
Builder earnings are recorded as pending settlement until the client approves the job or the review window expires. Payouts are made to the Builder’s verified bank/UPI after deducting applicable fees, taxes and charges. Payouts are not made from client wallets; they are disbursed from EZiL’s bank account.
6. Refunds
6.1 Wallet Refunds
You may request a refund of unused wallet balance to the original payment method. Refunds for wallet top-ups are subject to validation that the balance was not used for any service.
6.2 EZiL Managed Services
If a client cancels before the Builder starts work, EZiL will refund 100% of the project amount to the original payment method. If work has begun or a preview has been delivered, partial refunds may be granted at EZiL’s discretion depending on the stage of completion. Payment gateway charges and taxes may not be recoverable and may be borne by EZiL.
6.3 Marketplace Jobs
The Builder is the service provider. Refund requests should be raised within the review window (e.g., 7 days). If the client is dissatisfied and the dispute cannot be resolved, funds may be refunded before settlement to the Builder. Once settlement occurs, refunds require the Builder’s consent or may be processed as a reversal of the split payment.
6.4 Refund to Original Payment Method
In line with RBI’s payment aggregator directions, refunds are processed back to the same payment method used for the original transaction unless the client expressly chooses an alternate account under the same ownership.
6.5 Non-refundable Charges
Payment gateway fees, taxes and banking charges incurred during the original transaction are generally not refunded by payment partners; EZiL may absorb such costs as a goodwill gesture for EZiL Managed Services refunds.
7. Dispute Resolution and Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is unauthorised or incorrect, contact EZiL support immediately. We will work with the payment partner to investigate. Chargebacks initiated through your bank or card issuer may incur additional fees and could result in account suspension.
8. Taxes
Transactions on EZiL may be subject to Goods and Services Tax (GST) or other applicable taxes. The amount shown to you before you confirm a payment is the amount you are charged; the platform does not currently calculate or itemise tax separately on that amount.
EZiL does not presently issue GST tax invoices, TDS certificates or other statutory tax documents through the platform. Receipts generated for wallet top-ups and project payments are payment confirmations, not tax invoices. Where EZiL is required by law to issue a tax document, it is issued separately by the EZiL entity that received the payment, outside the platform.
EZiL does not presently deduct tax at source from Builder payouts. If such deduction becomes applicable, we will notify affected Builders before it takes effect.
Builders and Creators remain responsible for their own tax registration, filings and payments in respect of amounts they earn or spend through EZiL. Nothing on the platform is tax advice.
Automated tax calculation, withholding and invoicing are under development. We will update this section and notify users before any of them becomes part of the service.
9. Modifications
EZiL may modify this Billing and Refund Policy to reflect changes in law, payment partner rules or business practices. We will provide notice of material changes via our platforms.
